Earlier this month, the Great West Fleet Executive Conference was held in Las Vegas. A number of topics in the trucking industry were discussed, but one in particular was cause for concern. According to a panel discussion held at the conference, California owner-operators are being driven out of business by ever-tightening state emissions regulations. These regulations are also exerting significant pressure on the market value of used trucks, further undermining the viability of California’s owner-operators.
